Essential Preparations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pack Day is a very important day and it is important that the shipper prepare their home and family for this event. In order to ensure a swift and efficient packing the shipper should take the following steps to prepare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is recommended that small children not be present during the packing and removal days. If small children are present, shippers are asked to provide close supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have pets, please ensure they will be in a separate and safe place. It is common for animals to get scared and stressed with the moving process and end up running away or hiding inside furniture or boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Household Goods <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To ensure efficient and organized packing, the shipper should prepare all Household they would like to ship. Household goods for the Pre-Shipment, Main-Shipment, and Storage Shipment should be clearly designated and ready to be packed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Documents <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The shipper is responsible to collect all important and\/or travel documents and place in a safe locked place where they cannot be accidentally packed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trash, Waste, Rubbish<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping Trash or Rubbish Bins, the shipper is responsible to empty all trash and disposal bins and remove all contents. Please clean and sterilize all bins and remove any liquid or unsanitary residue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember to check all trash cans including, in the kitchen, garage, outdoors, bedrooms, offices, and bathrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refrigerators and Freezers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping Refrigerators or Freezers, the shipper is responsible to empty all contents from refrigerators\/freezers 24- 48 hours before packing starts. The refrigerator and freezers should be disconnected and the door be left open overnight before the packing starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All liquid must be drained and the appliance should be thawed, cleaned, sterilized, and dried, before packing begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washers and Dryers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

o If shipping Washer or Dryers, the shipper is responsible to empty all contents from washer and dryers 24-48 hours before packing starts. The washer and dryers should be disconnected and the doors should be left open overnight before the packing starts and all liquid drained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All washers and dryers should be cleaned, sterilized, and dried before packing begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grills, BBQ, Smokers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping, Grills, BBQ\u2019s or Smokers, the shipper is responsible to disconnect from the fuel sources. The Grill, BBQ, or Smoker, should be thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned and any char removed from all surfaces and utensils. Pressurized fuel and or propane tanks are not permitted to be shipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outdoor Sporting Equipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping Outdoor Sporting Equipment, the shipper is responsible to prepare items by washing all soil, grease, oil or direct residue for example bikes and golf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawnmowers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping a lawnmower, the shipper is responsible to wash, clean, dry, and remove any soil residue, oil grease and to drain all fuel lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Computers, Stereo, Home Entertainment Systems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If shipping Computers, HiFi, Stereo, Home Entertainment Systems, the shipper is responsible to disconnect all cable and components so the items can be packed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove all Prohibited Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The shipper is responsible for removing all prohibited items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a number of items such as propane tanks, aerosol cans, flammable liquids, matches, corrosive materials, perishables, paints, gas cans, etc. that must be sorted and discarded, we cannot move these items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High value items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Such as expensive bags, purses, furs, jewelry, watches are restricted and we recommend these items be carried with you on the plane. Please notify your coordinator if you have any high value items you\u00a0 want to include in the shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liquor \/ food \/ liquids<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please make sure not to ask our team to pack LIQUOR \/ FOOD \/ LIQUIDS of any kind.\u00a0 Such items are banned in many countries and can cause delays in the clearance process, adding additional costs to your move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Any prescription drugs or even over the counter drugs cannot be shipped, due different country regulations, which can cause delays in the clearing process. We suggest you carry these in your luggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Our team leader will complete an extensive inventory by placing a numbered, color coded sticker on every carton and individual article including notations of existing marks and conditions, which you will be asked to acknowledge by signing. We would suggest that you accompany the team leader, at least, during the inventorying of the items that you are most concerned about. This might include the dining room, living room, family room, master bedroom, etc. You will be given a copy of this inventory which will confirm what you have shipped with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
