At Granero Moving, we want to provide you with the best understanding of how your move Process will work. Below are details of the three phases of any move together with some additional tips that may be helpful:<\/h4>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Estimate<\/h2><\/div>
\n\t

\n\t\t\t
\n

The purpose\u00a0of the estimate is to provide you with an approximate cost of your
\nmove. Typically, a sales representative will schedule an appointment\u00a0to come to your home to review the items you are planning to move\u00a0to your new location. They will discuss packing services, valuation,\u00a0your move schedule and all special services required.<\/p>\n

The cost will\u00a0be calculated by estimating the weight of your shipment and\u00a0applying the appropriate tariff rate for the number of miles\u00a0it will be traveling.\u00a0 Any materials or services requested, in addition to those\u00a0of loading your goods, transporting and unloading them, will\u00a0be itemized and charged accordingly. Services needed at destination\u00a0will be included when communicated to your sales representative.<\/p>\n

Be certain the sales representative
\nhas seen the entire premises\u00a0including attic, garage, storage\u00a0shed and basement to ensure all items are included in the estimate.\u00a0If items are located off premises (e.g. office, self-storage), be\u00a0sure to mention them as well.<\/p>\n

If you are paying for your own move, the sales representative will\u00a0furnish you with an Estimate\/Order for Service form showing the\u00a0breakdown of charges. If your employer is paying for the move, the\u00a0estimate may be forwarded directly to your company.<\/p>\n

When your moving schedule has been set, notify your sales representative\u00a0immediately to schedule your desired pick-up and delivery dates.\u00a0The last week of a month and the period from May through September\u00a0are extremely busy, and advance notice is requested.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Documents<\/h2><\/div>

Your driver will present you with the Bill of Lading. This authorizes the carrier to transport your goods. Your driver is also required to complete a\u00a0Household Goods Descriptive Inventory\u00a0of items\u00a0included in the shipment with a brief note of their condition. You\u00a0will be then asked to sign the\u00a0Inventory.<\/p>\n

If any additional services are necessary, the\u00a0Additional\u00a0Services Performed Origin\/Destination Service and Delivery Report\u00a0must also be completed by the driver with your signature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

As unloading begins, check off items received from your copy of the Inventory. The crew unloading your moving van is only required to place furniture once, so have a placement plan in mind. Be\u00a0aware that unpacking services include taking packed items out\u00a0of cartons & placing them on a table or counter.\u00a0 If the moving crew does your unpacking, you may request that they\u00a0dispose of the used materials and containers when they have finished.<\/p>\n

Please take the time to complete any service\u00a0evaluation forms sent to you after the move. It is important that\u00a0all participants in your move know how you respond to the service\u00a0they provided. Customer evaluations are our only measure of success.<\/p>\n

Although every effort will be made to\u00a0see that your belongings arrive intact, there may be incidents when\u00a0loss or damage occurs. In that event, completely unpack all your\u00a0goods. Identify any damaged or missing items. Locate the\u00a0registration number from your Bill of Lading and call the Customer\u00a0Service Department.<\/p>\n

Claim forms will be mailed promptly, and it\u00a0is suggested that you file as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
